However, there are varying opinions from people who want to see a change in American foreign policies. Many people feel that they will not support Hillary Clinton for president as she is not taking a clear stand on Iraq war. Clinton’s critics feel that should be sufficient grounds not to have Hillary Clinton for president as majority of Americans, to be precise 55 percent, are against the war being fought in Iraq. Then there is Hillary Clinton’s failure to speak out on Terri Schiavo, and her avoiding the issue of flag burning.
While supporters of Hillary Clinton feel that it is about time for the United States of America to move forward in a bold new direction and Hillary Clinton is the only presidential candidate fit enough to lead the way. Her plans for healthcare are revving up a lot of support and people of America a dying to have universal healthcare.
There is no doubt that with her experience as being the First Lady, Hillary Clinton is no stranger to international affairs. She has represented America in 82 countries and with Bill Clinton still working to relieve AIDS, hunger and poverty, Hillary Clinton supporters feel that both Hillary and Bill Clinton have the values that have been missing from the Oval Office for too long.
While Hillary Clinton for president might not be popular with many people, her supporters feel that the day Clinton is elected president, America will regain the respect it lost because of Afghanistan and Iraq. In addition, Hillary Clinton will not take too much time adjusting to the White House and will be able to get on with pressing jobs at hand without wasting too much time.
